Powderhall Bronze was established in 1989 by Brian Caster and Kerry Hammond. Both trained in sculpture
and worked in London foundries after meeting whilst studying at the Royal College of Art. The first
foundry premises were in the old Redbraes bakery in Powderhall and two years later a move was made to
Stewartfield. By this time they had taken on five employees. The foundry currently operates from
workshops in Graham Street with a staff of 10.
The foundry's staff members have been carefully chosen for their training and specialist skills. Each member of the team will work closely with the clients in applying those skills, ensuring not only a very personal touch but also a finished product of the highest quality.
